Unfortunately at this stage we are not yet set up for mechanized tools, such as saws, lawnmower blades and carbide blades.

Grooming and hair shears require special equipment and training, which we hope to gain soon. Please check back for updates.

Kitchen Knives (smooth edge)

$6 each 0-6″ blade (e.g. pairing knife, utility knife, small santoku)

$8 each 6-8″ blade (e.g. small chef knife, santoku, cleaver)

$10 each 8-10″ blade (e.g. chef knife, carving knife)

$12+ each 12″ blade and longer (e.g. large chef knife, slicing knife)

Repair could be extra depending on the condition of the knife, please see repair prices

Kitchen Knives (serrated edge)

$9 each 0-6″ blade (e.g. tomato knife)

$12 each 6-8″ blade (e.g. utility knife)

$15 each 8-10″ blade (e.g. bread knife)

$18 each 10-12″ blade (e.g. large bread knife)

Special Knives and Japanese Knives

Starting at $20 each

We prefer to do these knives by hand on Japanese waterstones, as this method removes less material and extends the life of the knives.

Hunting Knives, Pocket Knives, EDC Knives, Utility Knives

Hunting knives starting at $10 each

Gut hooks add $3 each

Pocket and utility knives starting at $10 each, extra per blade

EDC Knives starting at $10 each

Cleaning, rust removal and repair could be extra depending on the condition of the knife

Blade repair and restoration

Chip and tip repair starting at $5 per knife depending on the extent of damage

Bolster reduction and correction of profile starting at $8 per knife (when your knife has a recurve and no longer touches the board all along the edge when rocking)

Thinning, once your knife has been sharpened repeatedly or after repair work, the bevels may have moved into a much thicker part of the blade reducing the cutting performance. Thinning removes material from the sides of the knife allowing it to perform better, most suited to knives that started out very thin like most Japanese knives. Thinning starts at $30 plus sharpening cost.

Scissors

Starting at $12 each

Fabric shears, pinking shears, sewing scissors, quilting scissors, craft scissors, general purpose scissors, utility scissors and kitchen scissors.

Repair could be extra depending on the condition of the scissors

No hair / beauty shears and clippers or pet grooming equipment at this point.

Axes

Starting at $12 each

New axes that need complete bevel regrinding start at $15

Cleaning rust removal and repair could be extra depending on the condition of the axe

Gardening Tools

In most cases sharpening will include strip down and a quick clean and oil.

Pruners from $12 each

Loppers from $15 each

Garden Shears, Hedge Trimmers from $15 each

Spades, Shovels, Edging Tools from $15 each

Cleaning, rust removal and repair could be extra depending on work required.

No mower blades, chain saws or wood chippers at this point.

Woodworking Tools

Chisels starting at $10 each

Plane Irons starting at $15 each

Back-lapping of chisels could be extra.

No Saw blades, planer blades or carbide tipped tools.

Restaurant Knives

Please contact us to discuss schedules, rotation of knives and quantity of knives or for other queries.

Collection and delivery can also be discussed.

No resurfacing of cutting boards.

Specialized Blades

We are able to sharpen some industrial or oddly shaped blades, this depends to a large extent on the thickness of the steel, the type of application and the shape.
